LET'S PUSH TO CHAMPS LEAGUE!
Hi there! I'm an almost maxed out Th9 with 100+ XP level & 650+ war stars. I pushed to Champion League a few weeks ago with a GiWi army while 2 starring Maxed out Th9s on my way. I was surprised to know how easy it was to take out maxed Th9s as a Th9 whereas people had been telling me how hard it is. Well, I think others should know that it's not that hard & even Th8s can push to Champ League without Th sniping [which is no more!]After this new BIG update in which Supercell changed the entire shielding system of the game, which in turn changed the attacking & defending ways of the Clashers, the road to higher Leagues also got affected in a major way.
The good thing is, pushing just became a little more easier for those who strike bases head on but for those who used to push while sniping, pushing trophies just became a million times harder for them.
LET'S GET STARTED!
So, if you're planning on pushing to Champs League as a Th8 or above, it will not be that hard for you.Townhall 8 |

EFFECT OF SHIELD CHANGES ON TROPHY PUSHING
The shield changes has played the most important role for trophy pushers. Unlike before, you can attack while under shield. This means that you can make more attacks while being protected from others. Mostly, we get attacked & get a 12 hour shield, so what happens is that our first attack takes away 3h shield while the second one takes away 4h & so on. The number of attacks you can make before getting attacked is as below- 12h shield on 30% destruction - 3 attacks [3+4+5=12]
- 14h shield on 60% destruction - 4 attacks [3+4+5=12 which is less than 14h. Thus, giving time for another army]
- 16h shield on 90% destruction - 4 attacks[3+4+5=12 which is less than 14h. Thus, giving time for another army]
ARMY SELECTION FOR DIFFERENT SITUATIONS
The army that you will be using varies from one league to another. Assuming that you are starting from Crystal League, the journey to Master League is easy using either Giants + wizards or Hogbarch. You can even use Barch for pushing since it provides an easy 50%.It's better to use a good & strong army while under a shield since the limit is the number of attacks you can make & not the time unless you waste the shield time while training no troops.
While under the active guard, it's better to go for barch since nothing reduces the time or breaks the active guard shield.
ARMY COMPOSITION
Crystal League to Master League
- GiWi - 20 Giants, 20 Wizards, 8 wall breakers, rest Minions or Archers [1 Heal, 1 Jump/Rage]
- HogBarch - 20 Hogs, 50 Barbs, 50-70 Archers [1 Heal if requried]
- Barch- 40% Barbs, 60% Archers [Use wall breakers if striking for a 2 star]

Master League III to Master League I
- The army that worked well for me was GiWi with the same composition as given above.
- Balloonion - 30 Balloons, rest Minions [2-4 Rage]
- Mass Hogs - 30 Hogs with rest Archers [3-4 Heals]
Example of Mass Hogs

WHICH BASES TO ATTACK - TIPS!
- The type of attack you choose will depend upon the type of base you should select.
- It's better to avoid Th10s during your push.
- As a Th8, don't attack maxed out Th9s even if they have juicy amount of loot as well as trophies
- As a Th9, you can even 2 star a maxed out Th9 regardless of the base design with GiWi, if executed perfectly.
- Learn the above mentioned attacks before you use them & learn which bases they work best on.
- Always take your Heroes with you, no matter what!
- Fill up your CC before every attack, it's crucial. They come in handy a lot!
